Child mortality vs. share in extreme poverty

Child mortality is the share of children who die before reaching their fifth birthday, versus the share of the population living below the International Poverty Line of$2.15 per day.

Note: Poverty data is measured in international-$ at 2017 prices to account for inflation and differences in living costs between countries. Depending on the country and year, it relates to incomemeasured after taxes and benefits, or to consumption, per capita.
